CareerPulsar currently operates as a free, no-signup service. We do not require you to create an account or share your email address separately. However, we do extract and log certain information to prevent abuse and ensure service quality.

When you use our service, we collect and process the following:

• Email address (from your resume) — if your resume contains an email address, we extract and log it for session identification and abuse prevention. We will not use it for marketing unless you explicitly opt in.
• IP address — logged per session for rate limiting and to prevent automated or bot access.
• Resume content — processed temporarily in memory for AI analysis. Resumes are not permanently stored on our servers.
• Usage behavior — page visits, analysis completion, job click-throughs, and interaction timing to help us improve match quality. This data is linked to your session, not a named identity.
• Device & browser information — device type and approximate geographic region (city/country level) derived from your IP address, for service optimization.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• To provide AI-powered resume analysis and job matching
• To improve the quality and relevance of job recommendations
• To monitor service health and prevent abuse

We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. We do not use your resume content for any purpose other than generating your analysis results.

3. Resume Data Handling

Your resume is not permanently stored. When you upload a resume:

• The file is sent to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection
• The text is extracted and sent to a third-party AI model (Google Gemini) for analysis
• The analysis results are returned to your browser
• We may retain an anonymized summary (skills, experience level, industry) for improving our matching algorithms — this summary cannot be used to identify you

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party service providers to support our platform:

• Google Gemini — for AI-powered resume analysis and career insights
• Perplexity Sonar — for supplementary real-time job search

These providers may process your resume text in accordance with their own privacy policies. When we introduce paid plans, payments will be processed via Razorpay, which adheres to PCI-DSS standards. We will never store your payment card details.

5. Data Storage & Security

All connections are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Our servers are hosted on secure infrastructure with industry-standard access controls.

The security of your data is important to us, but no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use minimal browser storage to maintain your session during a single visit. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

7. Your Rights

We collect limited personal information (email from resume, IP address) solely for abuse prevention and session identification. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by contacting us at the email below. We will respond to such requests within 30 days.

We comply with applicable Indian data protection laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly when we introduce new features (such as user accounts or paid plans). Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
